Morton Salt had it right when they coined “When it rains, it pours” as their slogan!
On Tuesday, police and firefighters rushed to the scene when a side of the salt facility’s wall collapsed in the Chicago area. This caused a major salt spill. To make matters worse the bricks along with the huge pile of sodium chloride fell onto over a half dozen of cars at a dealership next door.
Somebody is getting paid!!!
According to CBS Chicago, the wall fell due to either too much salt was packed behind it or the wall itself was no longer in great condition. Chicago Fire Department spokesperson, Larry Langford, stated that there were no injuries as of yet from the incident.
The cars that the salt landed were actually customer owned vehicles that were getting maintenance at an Acura car dealership.
Hey, on the positive side, they get a car full of free salt. Just don’t eat it all at once. It’s bad for you blood pressure if consumed in high amounts.
I wonder what the insurance claims for everyone involved will look like?
