Actor/Director Bill Duke is back with another documentary focusing on how colorism affects Black women.
After the success of Dark Girls, Duke brings part 2 entitled Light Girls to Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network next month. According to the description on the documentary, the film will:
Sharing the untold stories and experiences of lighter-skinned women, ‘Light Girls’ dives deep into the discussion of skin color, preference, privilege, pain and prejudice.
The film features commentary from Soledad O’Brien, Tatyana Ali, Raven Symoné, Amber Rose, Claudia Jordan, KeKe Wyatt, India. Arie, and Kym Whitley as well as Russell Simmons and Wayne Brady.
