Is it me or is Hollywood and television getting more “colorful?”
Actors Laurence Fishburne and Anthony Anderson are executive producers of ABC’s newest sitcom, Black-Ish. The show is about Andre ‘Dre’ Johnson (Anderson) and his family living in the suburbs trying to keep their culture while being successful. Fishburne play’s Dre’s father who helps him keep his family’s cultural identity alive. Tracee Ellis Ross of Girlfriends fame will also be on the show starring as Anthony’s wife, Rainbow.
I love her personality. She is hilarious. Check out this video of her breaking down the song “No Flex Zone.”
Black-ish also stars Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Miles Brown and Marsai Martin. This is one of many shows coming this fall starring several actors and actresses of color. Check it out below:
